What you are actually buying.
Storage can be bought anywhere. What cannot be bought anywhere is someone who answers for it. Below is the full list of what the subscription includes.
In every plan
Daily backup of the whole machine
Not just the files: the entire virtual machine, with Proxmox Backup Server, every night. At least two copies, on two servers in different physical locations, verified periodically by test restore.
Operations and updates
Monitoring, security patches, new server versions. You do not get a notice telling you to do something β it simply works, and when it does not, we find out first.
RegioCloud Admin
The desktop administration app, included, with automatic updates. Permissions, share links and access paths in one window.
Support in your language
Romanian, Hungarian or English, with a local contractual partner. A reply within one working day, faster on the higher plans.
The initial migration
We handle the move from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive ourselves, outside working hours, preserving folder structure and access rights.
Service
How your people work with it
To the team, RegioCloud looks like any other shared space β that is the point. The complexity stays with the administrator, not the user.
- A folder on the computer
- The sync client puts libraries on the machine as ordinary folders on Windows, macOS and Linux. People work as usual, in the applications they already know; syncing happens in the background at block level β a lightly edited 2 GB file is not re-sent whole.
- From the browser and the phone
- The web interface and mobile apps cover the cases where the work machine is not at hand: a quick search, an upload from the field, a signature on a document.
- Sharing with control
- Links with expiry dates and passwords, upload folders for external partners, separate read and write rights. And at administrator level, every existing link is visible in one list β including the one someone left open two years ago.
- History and trash
- Previous versions and deleted files can be recovered by the user, without opening a ticket. How long they are kept depends on the plan.
What is under the bonnet
The storage and sync engine is Seafile β a mature platform with years of production behind it, used by universities and companies across Europe. We do not pretend we wrote a distributed filesystem; we picked a good one and took responsibility for running it. What we built is the layer around it: the infrastructure, the verified backup, the procedures and the administration app. The difference between installing Seafile yourself and working with us is exactly the difference between having a server and having a service.
What it is NOT
So you do not find this out after signing:
- It is not an office suite. We do not give you email, a word processor or video conferencing. If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for those, RegioCloud sits beside them, not instead of them.
- It is not cold archive. This is a day-to-day working space with active sync. Long-term retention at archive pricing is a separate conversation.
- It is not application hosting. The server runs the storage service, not your programs.
